I'm a 25 year old technology enthusiast. I'm a blend between developer, designer and administrator with a love of anything that I can manipulate and turn into my own. It all started when I was a we little guy playing around on a Tandy TRS80 command prompt typing in programs from the little programming guidebook. I knew there was no looking back, even as a kid.

Fast forward to 2009 and I'm still going strong. While I professionally develop software, I also still do it for the absolute joy and education. When programming for fun, I favor Ruby on Rails - an open source framework focused on keeping us web developers from repeating ourselves all the time.

Web development is just one of my many creative outlets. I'm a highly creative and busy person with his fingers in a lot of pots. I like to say that I have "activity ADD" and love doing lots of different things. The two most notable creative endeavors I pursue are cooking and music.

I've been an amateur chef for several years now, and was pretty surprised at how easily I took to it after having failed so badly when first starting in college. I'm a fan of fresh and from-scratch cooking, with an emphasis on using as little pre-prepared ingredients as possible. I randomly throw dinner parties for my friends, and always get rave reviews of my foods.

I am also an amateur musician who's been playing guitar for about 10 years now. While I can play electric, my passion really is acoustic. I've always been a fan of simplicity and something that can stand on its own. Within the last 3 years or so I've learned to sing while playing and have started writing my own music. I love it as a way to get my emotions out there and understand myself better.
